Had the spaghetti and meatballs. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente, the sauce was great, and the meatballs were well seasoned and tasted great. Also had the flourless chocolate cake for dessert which tasted great and wasn't heavy at all. Overall a perfect amount of great food, and very nice staff and atmosphere. Would absolutely go again.

The wait was long but that is understandable. It was pretty good other than that. No nutritional information from what I could see which made it difficult

Rennick Meat Market has a very unique atmosphere; the interior is brimming with character, you can feel the history in this building. It is neatly decorated, tightly set with table space but not claustrophobic, and more than anything it's very much like a portal in time. I'll be upfront with the single star reduction; the way I review a restaurant is based on the initial expectation I have for the food, service, and the atmosphere, but an important variable that sets my expectation is the price. Rennick Meat Market isn't prohibitively expensive, but the price point for most items on the menu is marginally higher than that of comparable restaurants. I'll also say that based on my experience here, the prices are justified. I did not, at any point, feel like I was being overcharged. That being said, the duck breast I ordered was not quite impressive enough to warrant a perfect score. It was delicious, of course; the temp was fairly accurate for rare, the meat itself was juicy and flavorful, and it was extremely tender. Nevertheless, it was not significantly different from how I've made duck breast at home, and for 25$, I did expect that it would be worthy of the fifth star. I would like to reiterate though, it was wonderful food, and the only thing that could have been better, in my opinion, is if the skin (one of my favorite parts of the duck breast) had been a little bit crispier. If I could give 4.5 stars, I would, because the staff was 10/10, very friendly and respectful even though I did not have a reservation. Multiple people checked in on me during my meal and while I was waiting and even the new guy provided excellent service....
