A great entry point to Khmer/Cambodian food. It's been many years since I've been to Phnom Penh in Long Beach and some friends pointed out that RiceString Noodle Shack was owned by the same folks. The moment you walk in you'll recognize that RiceString has a more modern and youthful aesthetic, but take a glance at the weathered laminated menus and you'll know it's still the same food, plus with a whole other side of appetizers, rice plates, desserts, and drinks. We got a Nom Sa-Kieu (Meat Bread, $2.25 each), the Shack Wings (6 for $7.95), the #2 Mo's Special ($8.25), the #12 Me-Ka-La ($8.25), the Charbroiled Pork ($10.95), and Garlic Shrimp ($14.95). It cost about $76 in all, including tax and tip, to get a decent sample of the menu.
