Rim Tanon in Houston

The food was excellent.  Easily the best massaman curry we have ever had, and the pad thai was great, too.  Delicious coconut ice cream for dessert. They have a fun drink menu and a good beer selection.  Service was attentive, we were checked on often for drinks and clearing plates.  Looking forward to eating here again soon and trying some more adventurous dishes.  Note: they automatically add a 20% tip.  Also, there is a parking lot on the street in back (Portsmouth, I think) next to Hobbit Cafe, and there is also lots of parking about a block to the east in an almost empty shopping center.

Not going back:(. After years of dining here, the last experience was the last straw. We arrived at 1:25, and a girl with very short hair and a bad attitude seated us. I told her that my party would arrive in 5-10 min, and I was ready to order ahead of my party's arrival since the restaurant closed at 2. The server slammed the menus down on the table without saying a word and walked off. She didn't come back for at least 10 to 15 minutes although her issue was that we needed to order right away. No water or service while the clock ticked. When she finally came to the table to take our order, I thanked her, and she didn't say a word. She was so incredibly rude which ruined the lunch. Even my party noticed it and said they weren't coming back either. I've been going here for years and have experienced rude waitstaff more than once, but this was the worst! At the end, she didn't tell us that the tip was included, and an additional tip prompt for 20% popped up on the payment screen. It looked like we were double charged for tips, so I told the manager. I also mentioned to the manager that our server had a very bad attitude. She smirked and laughed right in front...

Place was busy, waited 10 or so minutes, service a little slow but polite, food was quite delicious if a little over-priced. I had the Rim Tanon Noodle, highly recommended.
