Not impressed. We tried to order a savignon blanc. They were all out of their white wines except for Chardonnay. Bummer #1. I ordered a beer that just had a name and no description on the menu. When I got it, it was a dark beer. I just can't do dark beer. Had I known it was dark I would never have ordered it in the first place. The waitress argued with me that she had to Charge me for it (I hadn't even touched the glass) I kindly said back that it was not described as a dark beer on the menu and I would prefer an ale or some kind of blonde beer. Here's a tip; The customer is always right and a server should NEVER argue with the customer. The server is there to serve and make that customer happy at all times. It's not about the server. It's about the paying customer. Ordered the brisket street tacos. Bummer #3...It was a few pieces of chopped brisket (not very tender at all. Looked like spam to me), a scoop of avocado (more than the amount of brisket) & cilantro on a soggy, greasy corn tortilla. When we asked for salsa, it was an extra charge. I asked for a side of sour cream and they were out! On a Tuesday?!? The salad was dry. Again, I would not recommend it at al! I don't even want to give them 1star....

Food was delicious. We had the brisket street tacos - highly recommended. I also tried the beer flight - everything was good. Service was fine, but the waitress had this fake voice that was a little jarring. After we left, a lady ran out of the restaurant to chase us down because I had left my sweater behind. I don't know how she could have caught it so quickly because my sweater was in a seat pushed under the table - hidden from view. I'm just so glad they did because it's one of my favorite pieces of clothing. Just to be clear - they deserve a 5 star even if that didn't happen, but it did so they deserve 10 stars.

When your flight is delayed and you've got no where to go and nothing to do, you find a bar stool order up a stein of beer and watch the opening round of the PGA tournament the Tele. This is exactly what I did at Albuquerque's Sunport airport. In between Gates Alpha and Gates Bravo is the Rio Grande Brew Pub & Grill. Now, I'm sure on no one's top culinary list is any restaurant from any airport - this is a given. It's usually not very good and unbelievably expensive. But when your the only show in town, it is what it is! The slight exception is right here, right now: this pub / grill was good! Not only good, and I need to define good as not being awful, and it didn't break my bank. I got a very nice New Mexican Ale and a pretty decent club sandwich. And may I add, the service was spot on. Will this place ever win a James Beard or a Michlen Star.... No! Is it a place to kill a few hours and watch a Major golf tournament, Yes! I could even say that the Rio Grande Pub & Grill saved my day like Mighty Mouse.
