Rips in Pompano Beach

This was my first time at RIPs and my last time.  Went last night, Thursday, June 25, 2021.  Should have gotten the bartender's name.  Arrived somewhere between 7:30 and 8 p.m.  Hopefully this information is enough for management to figure out who the bartender was.  Fire her!  She was absolutely horrible.  What an embarrassment to RIPs and the service industry.  Mind you the place wasn't very busy at all.   I ordered a salad with mahi.  Out of mahi.  No big deal; asked for chicken instead.  45 minutes later still no salad and no updates.  Never checked on us.  When I could finally get her attention, I politely told the bartender that it seemed like a long time to have to wait for a salad. No acknowledgement to the situation nor an a apology.  I asked her to cancel the salad and requested my drink bill which consisted of one beer.  Just one beer because I couldn't get her attention to get another nor could my friend who also had one beer..   She then went on to prepare other guests drin...

You know, it's OK. I mean, it's a bowling alley with a bar/restaurant attached, not a nightclub on Miami Beach. Decent wings, pricing is average for a place with live music, parking is free, service is hit or miss based on how packed the place gets. I have been going to that Bowling Alley since it was built. Initially, as a kid, to bowl. Now, 50+ years later, we go for wings, drinks, and music on occasion. I will tell you........depending on who is playing that place can get extremely crowded. I suggest you get there early if you want a table to see the entertainment. And look out back for additional parking.

We had a great time at the Thursday night open mic.  Terrific house band, food and service.  I like the clean, friendly environment and will go back there to eat and/or hear music.
