Route 67 Roadhouse Inn in Plymouth

Ate here tonight. We have eaten in the building several times over the years. This is our first time since the remodel. We really liked it. The look of the place is much improved and the menu is great. All four of us commented that we really enjoyed our food and that the ambiance is much improved. It was also quite busy on a random Thursday night which is great to see.

Meh. I don't know if I didn't like this place because I liked Lincoln Street so much or just because I don't like the new menu. Yes. The whole place has been painted and spruced up a bit but on a hot day, there was absolutely nothing on the menu that was appealing. Everything was heavy, pulled pork, BBQ, mac n cheese, smoked items, grilled cheese etc. I saw three salads but also was not in the mood for a salad. Staff was kind and prompt. I felt like my ankles were getting bitten by something while I was seated at the bar. No thanks Roadhouse. I'll wait to come back when you change the menu.

I think this is actually "Eli's bar and grill." But if not, I apologize. This gets 3 stars ONLY because the burger was good. This was the worst service ever! Granted, we are not from this area and do not frequent this bar, but I would really hope that people who are simply trying to patron a restaurant and bar would not have to feel like they just walked into someone's house and demanded to be serviced. The bartender was the rudest person I think I have encountered. He made it very clear that he was not happy to be doing his JOB of getting us food and drinks. We would have absolutely left had this not been the only place within walking distance to where we were staying. I was a server for years, so my friends and I are by far the most accommodating, kind, and understanding patrons you could get. However, this man clearly hates anyone who frequents his place of work who is either young or not a regular. Or maybe he's just an Asshole!
