So depending on what part of the US you are from, you have your own idea of what Mexican food should taste like.  Being from SoCal I am always hesitant to give it a try anywhere but there. However, a friend introduced me to this place a few years ago and I have visited it a few times. I honestly can't tell you about much except the chicken burrito because that's what I get each time...I like it that much. Normally, not a fan of a wet burrito but the guajillo sauce they use is DELICIOUS!! And the burrito is fat with meat. The rice and beans are average. We really enjoyed our meal.  The staff was friendly and attentive.  The atmosphere was relaxing with a great music selection emanating from the bar.  We had two different combination plates, witch allowed us to try different dishes.  Great choice.

Frozen margaritas and queso were recommended from San Antonio Bar & Grill. During the pandemic, they don't offer their frozen margaritas to-go, but I can say the queso was the best part of our meal. Any queso that is bright yellow is good. However, you could easily make it at home. We ordered the shrimp, fish and chicken tacos. They come in threes and fills you up. They were decent, but not the best in the area. I did appreciate they gave an option for flour tortillas. The price was also steep for average food. Service was very poor. It was 20 minutes later than when they said it would be done. When we walked in, we weren't helped for 10 minutes. The staff seemed stressed, which I have empathy for. We're in a pandemic after all.
