It's a nice, take-a-break from the hiking trails....warm, dry spot which is comfortable and cozy. The cafe that is there has a small but varied menu to choose from. I personally recommend the chicken wrap for eats and any of the hot chocolate drinks for warming up. I would say anyone visiting or first year new comers to Albuquerque and Rio Rancho should have the experience of going to the top of Sandia Mountain. And each person may enjoy as much or as little of the Sandia Crest House as he or she chooses.
