Savoir in Houston

Came here for brunch. Server was nice and perfectly attentive. As for the food, the choices were meh. Curly fries trio, an assortment of different takes on fries. Basically a BIG basket of fries that are seasoned 3 different ways with sauces to compliment that variation. Solid but..maybe not exactly a brunch item, can't complain too much though. I enjoy curly fries. We also had the brisket hash browns. Kind of disappointed with that. Could've had more brisket and the hash browns could've all been shredded versus more potato wedges. This took out a lot of the flavor, so I actually had to use some ketchup for the hash browns and wedges. Maybe adding a chili in it would help . So all in all, we left full but as you can imagine, we are potatoe'd out ‍

My first time here was about a week on a Friday night. The food and service were amazing. The waiter knew his wine, and the manager came by 3 times to ask if everything was ok. It felt like I was at a Michelin star restaurant with that type of service. Great food and experience made me want to come back with my husband.  That's 5 stars. Fast forward to about a week later, I returned with my husband and friends on a Saturday night. It was like night and day with the service and the food was good but not as great as I remembered. Decided to try Savoir for the first time with a girlfriend for my post birthday and happy hour meet up. Savoir was very accessible from my residence and though it is on Yale, which is a busy street, parking was so easy as they have a private lot and valet, and plenty of street options. We met at 3pm and happy hour/late lunch was from 12pm-5pm. Make a reservation. It doesn't hurt. The receptionist was very pleasing and ushered me to my table so I can start browsing on the menu as i waited for my gf. They have a different menu per time of day, hence we had the happy hour/late lunch menu. The cocktails were so interesting and refreshing, and so are the wines - and with a $6 tag per drink, it was a win win. The food selection was delectable was well.
