Drove down from Raleigh on a pottery-hunting expedition and happened upon Seagrove Family Restaurant. Down-home Southern cooking (better than my mama’s) as well as short-order sandwiches fries, etc. (as good as anywhere). Wife had Texas Chicken sandwich/fries, and I had Chicken Pie, creamed potatoes, green beans, and cornbread. Portions are huge, and prices are low. You won’t leave hungry. (I really wanted a slice of coconut cream pie, but there was no way I could contain it.) Texas Pete on every table, too. Friendly staff!
