This museum is made up of three stories (ADA friendly with elevators and escalators). Make sure you are fully prepared to spend at least 2 hours browsing the exhibits. Coat and umbrella check is free. 13YO and under, free admission. Covid Vaccine or negative test results, plus ID is checked upon entry. The store also adds an additional hour (minimum) to the visit. Plenty of beautiful items to look at or purchase. This place is a must visit!

Everyone I talked to about going to Seattle told me to go to the POP Art museum but no one mentioned SAM and i want to be sure that when anyone ask me about Seattle I include it because it was amazing. The ticket process is easy and it gives you in and out privileges for the entire day which is a nice little perk. Its in a nice area where if you want to leave and grab a snack or a drink and come back its easy. The exhibits are interesting and pretty well rounded, from overhearing a few folks i also know they revolve at a good pace as well so its always something interesting to see. I like that a good amount of immersive experiences along with art, traditional garb and wares. Overall i learned a lot and had a really great experience and will recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

I always enjoy my trips to the Seattle Art Museum. It is conveniently located in downtown Seattle near the Pike Place Market. The museum is rather large and spacious with several permanent and travelling collections. Everything is clean and modern with a good flow and overall feel. SAM has a wide range of art from ancient to modern with everything in between. Their current Impressionist exhibit was very well done and showcased some of the lesser known works and artists. I always appreciate the section devoted to native art in the Pacific Northwest. Admission is rather expensive, but you can linger here for hours. There is parking on-site, but I usually walk over from other areas to beat the traffic. Centrally located and popular, the Seattle Art Museum is a must for art lovers visiting the Emerald City.
