I've been here before but realized I never wrote a review. Splurged and picked up a new year's eve meal for myself yesterday. My friend who lives in the neighborhood was racing about the softshell dry curry crab. So went with that, an order of rice and the Miang Kham a favorite appetizer of mine that I hadn't ordered here. Miang Kham is such simple ingredients but together they make a wonderful bite. Theirs has dried shrimp as one of the ingredients, and I always feel like it's healthy. I still prefer dungeness crab being raised in Seattle, but the crab curry was tasty well seasoned I got it at mild spice level which was just right for me. Service was quick and friendly and wanted to support a business in my neighborhood.

I've had takeout from here twice this year. The first time, we ordered our food 3* and it was wayyyy too spicy. At Thai restaurants I typically order 3* or 4* but this felt like 10*. We couldn't finish it, it gave us that burning feeling in our stomachs... but the flavors were so delicious that I needed to try it again! The next time I ordered 1* and it wasn't at all spicy, but it was some of the most flavorful food I've ever had. I'm giving this restaurant four stars instead of five just because of the inconsistent spicy levels, but otherwise the food here is great.

Consistently excellent food delivered with friendly service. And in these strange times where carry-out is often preferable they run a super-dependable operation: food is always ready when you arrive and the orders are fulfilled correctly...not always my experience the past year or so at other restaurants. Good job, Secret Savory - we're glad you're in our neighborhood!
