Shake Shack used to be my go-to burger. After ordering delivery from this location I can safely say I should find somewhere else. After a severely extended order preparation period (was initially told delivery would occur 30-60 min from order placement and 90 min from order placement it was still being prepared), I finally get my food delivered almost 2 hours from my initial order and double the initial time estimate. This doesn't seem so bad considering what happened next. After that long wait, I find that my order had been incorrectly fulfilled with an order less than half (in terms of food amount and monetary worth) of what I originally ordered (to make sure I checked with the delivery driver and there were no other Shake Shack bags in their car and saw my name on the receipt with the incorrect items listed). Imagine being so keen to share a Truffle Burger, Shack Stack, Chicken Bites, a shake and two fries with a loved one, only to get a cold bag with a DoubleShack, one order of fries and a small Coke. Of course this was very disappointing (I was livid), but to make matters worse, Shake Shack provides no recourse to address or rectify customer complaints. (Calls to this location went straight to voicemail and Shake Shack Corporate only provides an email with a 1-3 day response estimate). On the long wait times, I get it, sometimes things get busy. But to fail at the core restaurant promise of delivering food that a customer has ordered and paid for? Any food-serving establishment that doesn't fulfil that promise can't be considered a restaurant.
