Pro's: I had low expectations. Was curious to try Americanized Chinese food like I hadn't eaten for many, many years. The place was mostly empty on a weekend night. Con's: It got worse. We got our drinks quickly (they make tea from teabags, not loose leaves), and the busboy refilled the waters occasionally (not often enough). But the waiter didn't come back for an hour to take our orders. I kid you not! Then half our group got the food a half hour later than the rest. One dish never even arrived. Nothing would probably have saved this dated restaurant. There was only one waiter for the entire floor. Ultimately, there were guests seated at about eight tables. A lot of waiting for the all of us. And pity the poor, bedraggled waiter.

Called in an order @ 12:50 it's 215pm the guy says he's here, not. Just canceled. In a well known high rise across from Uptown Park Shopping Center. Dahhhhh

A coworker and I had an excellent dining experience at Shanghai River Restaurant yesterday. Lunch ended up being a feast: great staff, attentive waiter, and delicious food.
