Shanghailander Palace is one of the most authentic and delicious Shanghainese restaurants that we've been to in SoCal. My family is from Shanghai so they are very picky about their Shanghainese food. If we could give them 6/5 stars we definitely would!! Everything was delicious but our favorite dish was the crispy fish with sweet and sour sauce. Not only was the presentation beautiful, but it was also extremely tasty. Our second favorite dish was the Three Flavor with Shredded Dry Bean Curd (which we unfortunately forgot to take a photo of but the soup was SO flavorful)! The service here is excellent as they are extremely attentive and they are very fast at serving the food. Our waiter, Bob, even helped us order a custom dish (stir fried gluten balls with bamboo and shiitake mushrooms) since he knew that we were craving a dish with fried gluten balls.
