Speedy service and always hits the spot. The Ramen here is great and you can order extra noodles to top it off if you are hungry! The side dishes are also great bites to munch with your noodles.

I LOVE Shin-Sen-Gumi. I've been to Daikokuya, Rakkan, Tatsunoya, Ippudo, you name it-- and I think Shin-Sen-Gumi has the best ramen in LA, PERIOD. I take all of my visiting friends here. The only place that I think compares to Shin-Sen in the U.S. is Monta in Las Vegas. Bottom line-- if you're looking for a full-bodied, creamy, and SAVORY tonkotsu pork ramen that satisfies your Ichiran itch, this is THE PLACE to go. What's unique about this location (compared to the Rosemead and Little Tokyo locations) is that they have more dishes (such as udon and yakitori), and you can't adjust the broth, noodle hardness, etc. of your ramen. I think the price in the location is a little more compared to the Rosemead location as well (last time I checked), but I think this is the best installment yet. The broth of the Hakata ramen is flavorful and rich (more so than the Rosemead location) without the thinness of instant soups, and pairs extremely well with their chewy and thin noodles (which carry the broth without getting fattened up, soggy, and gluten-y).
