This place has great food! Everything was amazing. Nothing was over seasoned or cooked too much or anything like that. The staff is super friendly and the service is fun! Definitely would return in the future and highly recommend it!

First off lower your standards if you're going to this place. If I could rate less I would rate less than 1 star. This experience makes Japanese hospitality look like a joke! The experience was awful. We were celebrating my niece 19th birthday and the chef Hugo wasn't engaging at all! He did some clicking and clacking with the knives and spelled out I U with the rice, but that was it! All the food was underseasoned, he lacked passion for his craft on every level. He dropped scallops and shrimp as he passed them around, veggies were crunchy and undercooked, I mean I've never had this kind of experience with a hibachi style dinning. The dinning experience wasn't intimate either. It's an open concept sort of like a cafeteria, with everyone peering through the windows as you eat. The only privacy setting was at the bar, which means just go there to drink and maybe get an appetizer. We literally spent 4 hours at this place, playing the waiting game. Service was very substandard. We waited over 30 minutes for water and menus. We waited at least an hour before the chef showed after we were seated. It was like everything that could've went wrong went wrong, but we didn't complain. We paid our tab for 14 people and go out of there and will never return. I'll stick to dining up the 580/680 corridor .

Came to Shirasoni Japanese Restaurant for a friends birthday dinner. It was very nice and had a good amount of people in it for a Sunday evening. We were a table of about 14 and they had a table big enough to seat us all around. For my appetizer I ordered the Crispy Calamari: Lightly battered calamari deep & pan fried in salt & pepper $14.99. I enjoyed the calamari it was light, crispy and flavorful. For my meal I ordered from the Teppanyaki dinner menu. I ordered the Hibachi Shrimp: Shrimp lightly cooked with garlic butter with lemon $28.95 with garlic fried rice $6.95. The shrimp was seasoned and the garlic rice was tasty. The meal came with the customary soup and salad. Overall the restaurant is like every other Teppanyaki/Hibachi restaurant with the same menu and concept. They cook the food in front of you, do a couple tricks, make a choo-choo train with the onions (always makes the kids laugh) and serve you your food. I wish we would've been able to have the birthday cake we brought and sing happy birthday, but they didn't allow outside food, which is understandable (I'm not sure if this is a Co...
