First impressions are ever lasting. On 9/11, it wasn't a good day for Sims Smoked BBQ in Seffner. For $23.75, ribs were dry and not favoraful, and were fatty, old, and tough. No turkey legs, and no desserts available. We will never revisit.

Today my daughter and I ordered take out from Sims Smoked Barbecue & Seafood. We couldn't make it home to eat. The smoked mullet was totally delicious. We also had a cluster with their famous garlic butter sauce. OmG when I tell you it was simply amazing. We are so full.

Phenomenal ribs!! I am originally from Atlanta, GA and have had barbecue from all over the southeast (including the Carolinas and Memphis, TN) and Sims Smoked Barbecue & Seafood is right up there with the very best!  Below the dark brown crust (a.k.a. "bark") is a bright pink layer of meat (a.k.a "smoke ring").  These guys know what they are doing!  The rib meat comes right off the bone very tender yet firm and leaves a perfectly clean bone when finished devouring. The macaroni and cheese was something special, very yummy. Very friendly staff! I will be back to try the smoked shrimp and grits on my next visit!
