Ordered a couple dishes to share for 3 people, had to order a giant pretzel because it wasn't enough food. The concept is there but the food portions and flavors were not totally on the viking theme. I liked that it gave an opportunity to try new things such as duck hearts. My bf described it as bougie Ballard hipster food. Definitely get a mead flight, that was totally worth it. All in all, it was an experience but the food was a disappointment

Amazing experience we paired with the Nordic Museum and Scandinavian specialties store in downtown Ballard! We tried the fries, pickled eggs, pretzel, Cucumber salad, bratwurst, and jarls platter of skewers and all was delicious! The venison was tender, the pork was succulent, the salmon was fresh, and the duck heart was a tasty salty snack to wrap it all up! I would highly recommend both the restaurant and experience to anyone who has a good taste for old time game and feasting!

Great time at Skål Beer Hall from Medford, OR! This was our number one reason for coming to WA. The place was packed with Syttende Mai going on, but the staff were on top of it. I really enjoyed the Valhōll Skål Norseman and Reubens Nordic Haze brews. The food was also great. I’m glad we got to visit and meet some cool Norwegians while we were in town.
