Slice of Humboldt Pie in Arcata

This is a really cool local hang out spot. They have the best local ciders and best local desserts.  They have a huge selection of gluten free and vegan options along with really scrumptious snacks like the empanadas and chicken pot pies. They also have a beautiful patio meant for rainy nights or sunny days. Overall the service is great but there is always a line at the register that usually takes a little while to get up to. On the weekends  this place is a very busy place to be but if you like that scene then it might be what your looking for. They require masks but some people choose not to wear them just because people are people. Lol I really recommend this place for a chill weekday experience

Their crust is on another level.  This is a place I like to take friends and relatives when they visit or stop to get a slice occasionally.  I like to order their whole pies to share at work or for holidays.  I wait for the peach pie because it is seasonal, but their peanut butter, salted caramel apple, apple, blueberry, banana cream are all good too.  I haven't been too into their hand pies, never seem worth it to me.

Quite often, I order delivery from Babe's Pizza and I am delighted that they have A Taste of Humboldt Pie Chocolate Silk pie on their menu. Oh my gosh, this is the best pie ever. If I am going to eat sweets, I will always choose A Slice of Humboldt Pie if it is on the menu. How lovely to get this very delicious pie slice delivered along with some other good food and salad from Babe's. Normally, I don't eat the crust on any pie, but the crust on A Taste of Humboldt Pie was so incredible, I ate the entire pie slice.  Surely, I have been sheltering in place too much due to Covid-19 that I am only now discovering this wonderful treat. I am looking forward to tasting other flavors of pie when I get out and about more. For now I am happily content to be able to get your Chocolate Silk slice of...
