CJ in Annapolis was great. He recommended great food and wine choices. I honestly was comparing them to Cooper's Hawk. CH wine may be better but Smashing Grapes food was amazing. The cabernet pear salad with the grilled salmon was a wonderful balance between savory and sweet. And the avocado pasta was a bit salty for me but had really good flavor. And don't let the jalapeños fool you, not spicy.

My girl and I were really hungry and looked forward to trying Smashing Grapes. I went here and ordered salmon and replaced the broccolini with fries. I received my fries soggy and not cut evenly nor presentable. Chef placed salmon on top of fries, making the fries even more soggy. For the price, I expected A+ presentation and flavor.
