Great atmosphere and beautiful architecture. The bar selection was excellent and expansive. The food was delicious but slim pickings. Bar food but very good. The view is worth the trip alone.

My boyfriend and I tried to go to Smith Tower Observatory Bar for a drink around 7:30pm on a Saturday. Unfortunately, when we got there we were told it could be a 1.5-2 hour wait so we decided to just go up and look at the view. The view was disappointing, especially for the price. I would not recommend. If we go back we would definitely go before dark since the man at the front said the long wait is from the people who wanted to be up there at sunset. The Fog Room is a great spot if you want to watch the sunset, the view is a bit different but it is beautiful and you can make reservations.
