SOGONGDONG Tofu & BBQ in Arcadia

The food is so so, and the service is even worse!  When I came to the counter there was no greeting. The Asian lady got a bitchy face with a bitchy attitude to go with it.  When I pay and left a tips still no thanks from her.

Came here on a Tuesday evening with my grandma to do a little shopping and have a meal together. She wanted to try the Bibimbap, so we went ahead and ordered the Veggie one. The lady helping us was pretty chill, nothing really wrong with that. Our total came out to around 15.5 dollars for one bowl of Bibimbap. And that price is justified by the portions they give you. It was pretty big! Enough to fill my grandma + give me a few scoops to try. It also came with organized, neat sides of banchan (side dishes), and a seaweed soup. My grandma really liked her seaweed soup, but she had a different reaction to the actual Bibimbap. There was the lack of taste when it came to the veggies and sauce, which is quite literally the two most important parts of the dish. I couldn't really taste anything either, and if I did, it was only a slight gochujang taste. It was a little disappointing to see that the only tasty part of the meal was the seaweed soup. Who knows? Maybe it was a one time thing and next time will be better, but I think I may stick to the other options available in the same food court.

Surprised by the low rating.  Perhaps we went on a good day.  It's part of the food court at H Mart in Arcadia.  We had Hot Stone Bimbimbap, delicious & a generous portion. It lasted me 2 meals & more.  Hubby had the Chicken Bulgogi, good flavor.  Each dish comes with soup & 3 banchan (kimchi, cucumber & raddish). Given the flavor, portion & price, I would give it 5 stars.  However, service could use improvement.  The lady was not friendly at all.  All in all, for fast food, this is pretty good
