This is what Sonic Drive-in in Sedalia, MO served me in my drink. Of course I didn't notice a piece of plastic while the cup was full, since it was in among the ice. It wasn't discovered until after I drank it all. I reached out to Sonic with questions. How does this happen? (The manager told me the machine won't even dispense properly without this piece, so how did they not notice?) What will they do differently so this doesn't happen again? How often does this thing get cleaned? What does it get cleaned WITH, that was floating around in my soda? The manager that I spoke with was very polite and apologetic, answered my questions, and took my address down, promising to send coupons. I never got any mail from Sonic, which is disappointing. I was curious what sort of discounts something like this was worth. Guess I'll never know. But I have this piece of commercial soda fountain as a souvenir. I guess that's something.
