BUYER BEWARE for the Sonic at Georgia Street and Hawthorne, Amarillo, TX. If fewer stars could be given, I would. Time stamp: 5:45 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 15: * Pull into stall 15 to order. Push the "Call Button" and the menu display acknowledges our existence and says someone will be with us "soon". 15 minutes pass w/o any human response from the store via the speaker. *Deciding not to waste anymore time, as we had personal obligations at 6:30, I move to stall 17 and use the Sonic app. It is frustratingly slow but finally registers our existence and charges the credit card after 6:00. *During this second attempt at ordering food, the drive-thru window traffic varies from a small number of vehicles to NO vehicles, and the number of stalls occupied was sparse. About 6:15, we inquire to the status of our food delivery as we continue seeing some drive-thru and stall customers pull in, get food, and leave well after we began the process. After our physical prompt by the store, our food arrived via carhop at 6:20. We've spent a total of 35 minutes trying...
