I stopped by the Sonic Drive-In, 1009 E. Amarillo Blvd, Amarillo, TX 79107. Phone number 806-342-0288. I ordered a Route 44 Cherry Lime, Route 44 Ocean Water and a grilled Cheese Sandwich. Haley brought out my order and I put out my hand to take the drinks. She informed me that I had to pay her before she would hand me the food. I asked why and all she could tell me that was the policy. I paid her and luckily took a sip of the cherry lime which tasted horrible. I called for the manager (Matt) to replace the drink with a coke and inquire about the payment policy. He said they had been robbed before and that was the policy. There are other locations in Amarillo that have been robbed in the past but don't have this policy. I can only conclude locations in minority areas have different policies. I called the comment line and spoke to Faquisha who only could take the complaint but...
