Hadn't been in awhile, because twice last year, it was disappointing. However, this visit was exceptional. The 3 meat platter was generous, and the meats were lean and tender. The sides also provided more value than before. The baked beans contained chunks of meat, and other sides were tasty too. Our server was kind and professional, and we certainly did not feel rushed. Both of us finished our sides, bread, and ribs, but had enough sliced and pulled pork for another meal. Won't wait long to return.

If you're in the Apopka area looking for decent BBQ at an economical price, Sonny's BBQ is a solid choice. Their reputation as a national BBQ chain speaks for itself, as their staff is beyond friendly each time we go. Unless you come within the last hour of the evening, they usually have all their meats available for order. Whenever my wife and I go there, we usually alternate between their brisket and chicken. Being a fan of having a variety of sauce options, Sonny's BBQ perhaps has the largest choice of BBQ sauces compared to others around town.I would honestly give this location 3.5 stars if possible.
