This is my favorite restaurant in California hands down. The food is perfect , every dish every time. It never disappoints and is a place I know for sure I can take people and know they will absolutely love it. Then there's the wine, refreshing after so many wineries in the area that, for all the pretentiousness, end up being but mediocre wine. Wide selection of excellent wine. And on top of it all there's the service, truly great every time. Have a baby? Let them know and you'll arrive to a table setup for your child as well. Romantic dinner? They'll set you up. Looking for a particular thing in a wine? Let them know and they'll find the right one for you. I love, love this place and should be talked so much more than it is. An absolute gem.

Ok. Imma bout to gush and it's a long one.Today is the 5th anniversary of my marriage to Ron Guptill. We have been so incredibly blessed in a few different restaurants to be "adopted" and truly treated like deeply loved family. I've posted about TIPS Roadside recently and this evening I'm posting about Sonoma Wine Shop and La Bodega Kitchen in Sebas...

We were perusing Bite Club Eats, they talked about Hanukkah Dinners and this place has Hanukkah dinners! We were ordering late about 5 pm today so we got their vegetarian lasagna - which is delicious, their minestrone soup - delicious, and their phenomenal Caeser Salad. The croutons in the salad are literally house made, not awful dessicated store bought ones. The dressing is made on premises. Everything is delicious here. I would say imho, better than any of Thomas Keller's restaurants or anything you can get in Yountville. We are ordering for tomorrow, the Moroccan Chicken, the latkes and the salad again! Even my husband who has always said that salad is "rabbit food" loved the salad! The dressing for the Caeser salad is amazing! Oh and forgot, we also bought the Sufganyiot (jelly donuts) which were amazing, I got the cherry & my husband got the strawberry one. Fantastic meal, looking forward to tomorrow night's meal!!!
