VietCajun, Tex Mex & now from the parking lot of Thoroughgood Coffee, Soul Taco Truck - what would Houston be without its cultural collabs. With tacos named The Miss Tina, The Aretha Franklin & The Diana Ross, there's no way I could walk by without supporting this joint. Dispute the creative names, I opted for a few less adventurous options (the tequila lime chicken & beef street tacos) while I waited for my coffee next door. The mango pico and queso fresco are nice additions to an otherwise traditional street taco. The tacos are sized well, lightly stuffed and flavorful. 3 will feed the average human. The chicken biscuit was the size of my head so bring a friend. The biscuit itself isn't the fluffiest but it's flavorful, buttery, sweet and salty. The parking lot is shared with Throughgood & the two play nice together (you can eat your taco in Thoroughgood or drink your coffee at the taco stand). The hot sauce is HOT, the vibes are cool, the service is awesome, they have inclusive options f...

I ordered The James Brown taco with corn tortillas. Literally the worst I have ever had. The corn tortilla taste like paper/undercooked. And I found egg shells in my food. The flavor is okay but very greasy. I do NOT recommend this place at all.

They were busy which is always a good sign. I ordered the Miss Tina tacos which are vegan. She asked me if I wanted greens added, and I agreed. Since this was my first time, I had no idea that "greens" meant boiled collard greens. The flavors were ok, but, it was impossible to eat this taco without a fork as there was so much juice.. The tortilla just fell apart. It was very messy and disappointing. I would suggest draining the beans and greens before putting them on a tortilla. And also please explain "greens" I assumed it was dry, raw spinach and kale.
