I called before I came to see if they had ox tails the guy told me they did but they only did credit card orders over the phone. So i said I only have cash so your sure you're going to have more when I get there he says yes.I drive all the way from Hercules to oakland in 15 minutes for them to say they don't have any more. This is crazy and unprofessional the girl at the window was like oh well they gone. Just rude I will make sure to tell my family friends and co workers not to support this business

Great place! My wife and I have been twice. Once we split a short ribs dinner while sitting at the bar and had some drinks. Bartender was friendly and attentive. Finished it off with pie. Second time we wandered in during an event, enjoyed drinks, danced, and listened to great musical performers. Southern cafe is rare gem in this area
Good was ok and cabbage was much too sweet. Roten smell cut appetite. Came there a year ago and still have sick rotten unsafe smell. The restsurant in oakland is so much better.
