Staff is attentive and unfortunately apologetic. The food was good and seemed relatively fresh, albeit haphazardly plated and sloppy. The most disappointing part about this place (especially calling itself a “tap house”) is the beer. And it’s not the selection (which is impressively vast), but the quality of the beer service.Every beer I had was infected. This place has not cleaned their beer dispensing lines in a very long time (if ever).Note to Manager/Owner:Beer lines should be cleaned once per week, flushed in between keg swaps, all fittings sanitized once per month and the lines should be replaced 1-2 times per year.Dirty lines produce off flavors in beer, which clearly...

Always a great spot to visit any weekend for drinks and a night out with friends and good company. Good vibes all around. I highly recommend!

We were in Richmond for the weekend and popped through Southern Railway Taphouse for dinner. For 6:30pm on a cold Saturday night, the wait was not long (roughly 15min). The restaurant seemed louder than normal--more than just your typical Saturday nights sports bar crowd. Part of this may have been the 2 boys birthday parties held in the arcade space upstairs. It was a steady stream of angsty pre-teen boys and parents throughout our dining experience. Our waitress was initially busy, so the manager took care of our drinks and appetizer order. The crispy Brussels sprouts were delicious, if but a little too sweet (too much honey). When it came to main dishes, the table ordered burgers. I asked for no cheese (milk allergy) and was super disappointed--not to mention hungry--that the order was put in wrong and TW burger emerged with cheese. The waitress took it back and they re-did my burger, but definitely lost a yelp star given how easy it should be to keep cheese off and out of range. All in all...a great place to go for beers. Loads to choose from. Pretty typical sports bar fare otherwise, and average service.
