I'm sorry to say this food doesn't represent Texas well at all. When I think of barbeque, I think of a well smoked piece of meat. I purchased 3 plates with a combination of ribs, chicken, brisket, and peppered sausage. All The meats were tender and juicy, and the portion size was more than adequate, but, it was rather a baked meal instead of barbequed. It was such a let down. If the restaurant wasn't so far, I would've requested a refund.

Walking in this restaurant, I heard the music of a new Gospel song. Funny, how it immediately got my attention. It wasn't till I sit down, that I realized they were playing nothing but Christian music. New Gospel and Classic Gospel songs I grew up listening to. A manager asked me how everything was and I told him I didn't know if it was coincidence, but I was really enjoying the Christian music. He told me all Spring Creek Barbeque restaurants play Gospel music, every Sunday. How bizarre is it that something so simple can stand out in the age we find ourselves in? And, couple that with good bbq, great rolls and a free scoop of Blue Bell, you might want to visit Spring Creek Barbeque, too. Keep it real, Spring Creek!
