I have been to all of the breweries in the Medford area, however, some of my friends had a subpar experience here, which prevented me from going for this long. I am glad that I finally checked this place out. My fiance and I ventured to Ashland for a quick hike and wanted to stop for food. Standing Stone Brewery was our choice since it was the last brewery in the area we had not experienced.Food = amazing! I had the burger with the salmon soup - that is enough to get me back! My fiance had the buffalo chicken sandwich, which is also delicious - a little on the spicier side, which is not a bad thing!Beers = top 3 in the area (truly hard to limit yourself to a favorite, that's why I do top 3). If you like dark beers, their porter will not disappoint.Service = I wish I knew the name of our bartender/server. He checked up on us the perfect amount of times, was friendly and personable, and made our experience comfortable.All-in-all I would highly recommend this place and I will be back!

STANDING STONE BREWING COMPANY; ASHLAND, OREGON: My family and I got out of one of those late night plays at the Shakespeare Theater, of course, without having had any dinner or anything to eat, OH, and of course, everything was closed. Well, everything was closed, except, yes, folks, the STANDING STONE BREWING COMPANY. We went in and were seated upstairs, and I have to tell you, I immediately felt at home. The place is just comfortable. I couldn't give you a definitive why. It could be the informality, the fact that beer is served, not a snooty "wine" place, or it could be the "old" photos on the walls, perhaps the people and the way they treated us, I don't know. It just felt good. We sat down and ordered; some of us got nachos, some sandwiches, all good 'ole pub food grub. I'm not a drinker, so I ordered no drinks, my daughter order one of those sampler things with 9 different small beers. It was fun watching her sample the different kinds to see which she liked and which she didn't. The Standing Stone glasses were a darling size, in which they brought me my diet soda. We all liked those little glasses and asked the server about them--she indicated that they were available for purchase. We ended up buying 8 of them to take home as a memento of our evening out there. How about that? I didn't know I was going to stop for dinner and end up with glasses from a pub to take home. It turns out they are really great for orange juice or milk, or even a quick glass of water from the fridge (our glass cupboard is right by the fridge). I can't wait to get back to Ashland to go back to this wonderful Brewery and pub. They have some more food on the menu I want to sample and some more atmosphere I want to soak up. I know I can get here if I can talk my husban...
