Chicken was not done and service was very slow

I used to patronize this place, but only the drive-through. One experience inside (when they were open inside) was terrible. Slow service, rude staff and manager. Drive-through was okay usually, but depending on the mood of the staff. They've reduced the number of items and the quality is far below what was once offered. Many of these units have closed throughout the country, and this location has the deteriorating service suggesting it will not be open in the future either. In any event, the quality is low and the staff do not seem to like their jobs and blame the customer. I avoid it, there are too many other choices to patronize that are friendlier and better.

WORST STEAK 'n SHAKE EVER!!! we are from California and wanted to tryout something new because we don't have them there! We were shocked to find out that they are serving beer in the drive thru lane. So we were taking a picture for the beer for sale to show our friends. A member of the staff throws the drive window open and say "CAN I HELP YOU?!?" with the most entitled like attitude I have ever seen! We were just like sorry we were taking pictures of the sign because they don't sell beer like that were we are from. He then proceeded to yell at us that they aren't required to wear mask inside the restaurant...
