The food at Sushi Miyagi was great. Most of the appetizers are bland without the sauce so keep that in mind. The ginger and wasabi is fresh. The presentation is cute and well done. The Japanese soda was new to me and my friends and it was really cool to us.Unfortunately, the waitress we had was rushing us and while she wasn't overtly rude, she was subtlety rude. She was by herself and she was doing dining-in orders and to-go orders. It annoyed her that my friends and I were taking so long to decide what to eat. First it was three of us and one friend arrived late. We didn't want to order until she arrived. Also, we were talking while looking over the menu, so we were distracted. She kept telling us, she has a lot of to go orders and the slower we are, the longer it will take to get our food.I've never experienced this before. Truly the best in the entire Houston area! I heard about this place for years and I promise you it is worth the drive and the limited hours! The quality of the Sushi is second to none! Just make sure you arrive early as this place is run by only two individuals, a husband and wife duo, so wait times exponentially increase after opening.

I don't know why people even like this place. Service was terrible. There wasn't even anyone in the restaurant except one table and she was running around. Never even brought me a water and when she did come by she rushed me and left immediately if I didn't order right away so I had to always wave her down. She keeps on leaving before I'm done ordering and she tells me I need to order everything at once. Um I would of if you gave me enough time to before you interrupt me by leaving my table. The food: why does the tobiko eggs have a soap taste to it along with some of the other fishes...? We ordered sashimi and riceless rolls like the dragon eye. The dragon eye roll had a soap taste!!! Did they not rinse their dishes properly or sprayed disinfectant on the cutting board and didn't wash it off completely or something?? Because it had a weird fragrant taste to it and I don't mean like a food kind of fragrant, I mean like disi...
