sweetgreen in Houston

The salads here are always consistently delicious and the employees are very kind and accommodating, especially Prince! I was having trouble adding my card to my sweet pass and he checked up on me and got my order in right away. I can tell he always appreciates his regular customers! :)

We came when it was empty, so we had the restaurant to ourselves. It was very clean and they have outdoor seating for when it's a little warmer but not hot. I'm not a big salad person, but my salad was definitely hitting. I had the Harvest bowl. The blend of sweet potatoes, rice, pecans, and chicken and everything else was a match made in Heaven. I loved the unique taste of it. The portion of chicken on the salad was very tiny though, the only downfall.

I was excited to try Sweetgreen after hearing a few of my coworkers speak so highly of it. I went to the location in Montrose. It was pretty calm inside, I was actually the only customer dining in so I was serviced pretty quickly. I ordered the popular Guacamole Green bowl and added a few extras in mine like shrimp, goat cheese and an avocado ranch like dressing. With the additions + tax  my meal came out to around $20. I'll say I wasn't that impressed with this salad (especially for the price). I felt like it was really lacking in flavor, the chicken, the salad dressing everything. I was really trying to pinpoint something that stood out to me with this salad. It was okay, but not so sure what all the hype is about. I think it may have been the chicken option I had. I was expecting a more blacked or grilled like chicken that would've been seasoned better. So I think if I decide to try this restaurant again, I'll try the  hot honey chicken bowl or something that sounds like it's packed with flavor.
