After growing up in from Southern California, finding good Mexican food in the Berkeley area has been a distinct challenge I had began to give up on. Everywhere I've tried has been missing that "something" and majorly lacking in flavor or freshness. We decided to try this spot on a whim and we're so glad we did. The staff was SO friendly, they really made it seem like they wanted you there. Portion sizes are perfectly generous without being too much. Seasoning was great, the cook on the steak was great. The ingredients taste like the owners really care about selecting for freshness and quality. Theres also a small grocery inside with some great looking pantry staples and pastries (pistachio saffron ice cream cake, ill be back for you). We'll definitely be back, I'm really looking forward to trying more of the Persian menu. Thanks for lunch!

I do Not have time to write a review right now (But if I know if I don't do it right now it might never happen and if ANY spot Ever Deserved support -and Damn Well Earned that ish! - It's This One, soo..) This spot is the answer to my prayers basically, they have many amazing vegetarian options (all bean options are vegetarian for example) they have great prices (spinach and mushroom enchilada plate for example is $13 not $16 like it says on this Yelp page!) the ingredients are fresh and the dishes are well put together and generous - spinach and mushroom enchilada combo Plate which I just got (requested hella extra pico/red and green salsa/onions/cilantro etc - half refried half pinto etc all free- was as good as I thought...

Delicious! I had the Abgoosht (lamb shank stew). Super tender, flavorful lamb . The Persian bread was super great dipped in the stew. Excited to visit again.
