There's nothing wrong with this particular location. Taco John's has never really appealed to my personal taste. It seems like an over Americanized Tex-Mex or something. Getting offered potatos with a taco is just odd to me. A lot of people love those Ole things, I have never cared for the spices on them. I will eat here but it would never be my first choice.
