Hands down one of the best places to eat in Anchorage. I have been dining here for about 20 years and it is a family favorite. I highly recommend if you are looking for some classic Mexican comfort food.

I must confess the first time I came to this place 10+ years ago I was not expecting much given the name and the fact it was in Alaska. I am used to very good Mexican food from my grandmother and originally hailing from Denver, but I ended up eating my words figuratively and possibly literally as I devoured a king burrito. I have since ventured out to all corners of the menu and have yet to be disappointed. You can often find me secretly smashing a torta while washing it down with a glass full of medium salsa while paying cash so my wife isn't aware of my monthly taco king subscription. On a side note I take credit for the taco king subscription business model like the Sean Parker of fast casual mexican food.
