Taishi Hainan Chicken in Anaheim

Not authentic at all but if you crave for chicken rice and don't care for authenticity then give it a try. I personally thought it was bland and dry. My family only ate 1/4 of the family meal and abandon the rest.Don't expect to see a restaurant, it's only takeout at a warehouse kitchen.

I was soo so excited to see this place because ever since I moved to OC, ive been on a hunt for a go to hainan chicken place. As soon as I found this, I had my husband do a pick up after work. Sadly, this will not be my go to place and Ill have to go back to 626 to get my fix. I ordered the orginal hainan chicken with rice. Portions were great, really hard to eat out of the box but atleast it was environmentally friendly. The rice was pretty good and sauces were decent. I still prefer the ginger sauce from Savoys. Now the chicken, i wish this wasnt such an important part of the meal but it really really is. While the portion was really generous, the chicken itself was such a let down. Bland and a bit dry. Pretty much i kept it to feed to my pups. The sauce wasnt good enough to save it. Other hainan places, i can even eat the chicken plain with rice. Even better if the sauce is awesome but here, sauce was eh and chicken was sad. So now Im sad cuz I have to look elsewhere. I might try the fried one next time, though. Definitely willing to give it another chance

I was sitting around looking for something to eat late tonight and decided to see what was still open in the Anaheim Food Co. Found Taishi Hainan Chicken and was stoked to see they were still taking orders! I ordered the Hainan Fried Chicken Rice and a side order of fried dumplings. Super generous portion of fried chicken with rice and some sauces and the fried dumplings came with this delicious slightly sweet but also perfectly spicy dipping sauce. Hope they do well here as I'll definitely be a regular customer.
