The tamales were awesome. So good. And the tortillas are fresh and a good deal. You get to watch them make the tortillas, which is fun. They were sold out of pork tamales and cheese tamales by 10:30 on Sunday. So I only got to try the chicken. Anyway, they were great! And nice people working there. Looks like they are about to finish building the indoor dining area. If you are going to eat them in your car right away, bring your own fork (or just eat with your hands). I don't think they had plastic ware. Great food made and sold by wonderful people! My family has been enjoying their fresh, warm corn tortillas for years. (They used to be in Weaverville) Now they have moved to West Asheville and also offer tamales (and occasionally you can get amazing chicharrones!!!) I’m grateful to have access to such good food, and am always greeted with a friendly smile.They often sell out by mid afternoon, so I usually text ahead of time.

Hands down the most authentic tamales in Asheville!Just moved to Asheville from Mexico, and it’s hard to find good authentic Mexican food.Here you can always find fresh tortillas made daily and the tamales are filled of meat and sauce!!
