Always a good sign when a place is busy, and when the patrons are all Hispanic except you, even better. Half the entrees I've tried are just so-so, but the chips and salsa are outstanding and the other half of the entrees are very good. The price is also right. I eat here 2-3 times a week.

I read some of the reviews about the place before I tried it and some of them I'd say were good, but not all of them. I had the chicken tortilla soup, I liked it because it wasn't as heavy as the others I have tried.  My boyfriend had the tacos I think, he said they were good and simple. I read on one of the comments that the waitresses were mean and spoke mainly Spanish so it made it harder to understand. So I was afraid to go but I went and they did speak Spanish off the bat, luckily I went with someone who new Spanish so that was a relief. But she spoke English to, and they were nice to me and my son (2yrs). So I don't know if it was the shift or just a bad day, but definitely I'd go again!

Stopped in Today at La Taqueria Nuestro Mexico for some Mexican food after church. Location was easy to find, (no signage yet) parking lot full of cars. Walked in and had ample seating. I was very impressed with the menu. They offer so many food options. Pricing was excellent for the quantity of food received. The chips and salsa are better than many of the restaurants in Abilene. Service was VERY rushed. Our waitress looked like she wasn't very happy to be there today. We asked for more chips and tea since they were so good and she joked (seriously) that we were just there to eat all of their chips. Laughed it off and gave the food a chance. The food was Excellent! Great flavors from the shrimp quesadillas, rice and beans. Lengua tacos were crunchy but still soft on inside. Overall food rating about (out of 5)Service about Overall locatio...
