Tavalota on 2nd has sunk to a resounding nadir from past glories. I was disappointed with my last take out from Tavalota, and I doubt I will return. We used the online ordering system that provided a time our meal would be ready. Arriving a few minutes late, I didn’t think it would be an issue since we pre-paid. The young woman at the front said it would just be another five minutes. Well, it was another 30 minutes, and an older woman apologized as she left the restaurant, explaining a pan broke. The food was fantastic! The pasta was delicious, great flavor. Cocktails were creative and very enjoyable. Excellent service and atmosphere as well.

Max is awesome. Came to Tavolata for the pasta a few times. It was overcooked tonight and he and the kitchen made it right. The service is outstanding here and always has been.
