It was our first time being here and found the place randomly. We had a friendly service. Just got surprised when we paid for the bill. We had lunch for two people and we had a bill for $60 before tips. Water and desert were brought by the host / we didn’t order but we were charged for. When I was trying to match what I had with then price on menu, I just found that there are no prices on the menu in this restaurant. When I asked for the detailed bill, everything was listed but a lot of items were called as open item and just had a price for it. Food was okay, but will not come again.

We heard of this restaurant from our friend in Dallas and thought we would check it out as we’re not very satisfied with the Kerala restaurants around here...Thanima is a quaint restaurant, very neat and friendly owners who also are the ones who run the show- from cooking to serving customers (due to COVID now I guess).On our first visit, we had meals, chicken biryani, Porotta and beef fry; we were mind blown by the authenticity of the food.... This really took me back home.The Porotta is extremely fresh, soft and flaky.So is the pal appam- flawless and delicious!We have been visiting Thanima almost every weekend now even though we are 50mins away from the restaurant.
