I know this is the time of COVID and how it has turned the restaurant world upside down. However I expected just some efforts from the staff in trying make the customers comfortable. Let's get down to it. First off, the seating availability is well, the most horrendous. We came as a party of three, and we're given a table outside under the tarp. This wouldn't have been so bad if it hadn't been in the evening, cold and very windy. The heaters outside were useless. We looked around and saw plenty of other seating with space available. When we asked our waitress she basically threw up her hands and said no. Okay no biggie, but when we asked if we could pull the tarp just halfway down to block the wind from blasting our hot food to cold, we got snapped at and told it would 'restrict the airflow'. Trust me, there was wind blasting everywhere, no way was there anything getting trapped. Finally after begging we got a table more inside but still freezing. While the seafood stew was delicious but the oysters and my drink were not. I either ended up with a bad batch but I got terribly sick later that evening without a doubt from the oysters. I also had asked for a hot toddy but instead of warmed bourbon I was given the equivalent of what appeared to look and taste like theraflu lemon. The meal wasn't bad, other than getting food poisoning from the oysters, it was the pure crap service that soured what should've been a leisurely dinner. -1 star for the prices. Even though my meal was awesome, it was just a little too steep I think for lunch, even given the location. But that being said... I'd totally recommend it! We'd just finished up kayaking at Moss Bay next door. Despite bringing snacks, we were too hungry to do much planning on where to eat lunch. Lucky for us, The 100 Pound Clam was looming righ...
