Yum! YUM YUM YUM!! The Acre is a great place for anyone looking for a healthier option. As a vegetarian place, they also have vegan options and everything tastes exceptional! The burritos were fantastic and the nachos were absolutely out of this world. Get your hands off my food because they are NACHOS (not yours)!

I am vegan and visiting New Mexico for the week from Sacramento, so was happy to come across this all vegetarian comfort food place where everything can be requested vegan. They are located in a strip mall and parking was easy to find. I also had really good service once I was inside and while I was given a choice where to sit, I decided to sit at the bar. I got the Winter Pasta (requested vegan) which came with butternut squash, pinion and a sage cream sauce. The Winter Pasta also comes with a soup or salad and I requested the salad. Since I had noticed the Brussel sprouts looked really good too, I also got a $5 side of Brussel sprouts which was a very generous amount. All of my food tasted delicious and I especially loved eating the Brussel sprouts paired with the pasta. I most definitely would eat here again the next time I am in town. I just wished that they opened earlier at 8 or at least 9 a.m. in order for me to try the breakfast burrito in the morning.

It may have taken a few years, but we decided to give The Acre another try and were pleased that we did. I got the mac and cheese, which was creamy and rich. This is one of the few places that adds an appropriate amount of sauce. The parmesan that they use and add to the top along with 3 other cheeses give it an almost alfredo-esk quality, very cheesy and good. I also got french fries which come with a homemade ketchup, which is sweeter and has a strong clove flavor, a departure from the store-bought stuff. It reminds of of the stuff my mom used to make. My wife got the breakfast burrito, Christmas style. She hadn't planned on eating the whole thing, but it was just too good to stop. The red chile was hot and the whole thing flavorful. I think they may have been a little overwhelmed as they had a big party sit down as I pulled up and the curbside number went to voicemail. Overall the food was great, had I been able to get my meal curbside, it would have been a 5 stars.
