Okay, so when you're meandering up or down the Highway 1 coastline, you'll come across this little, tiny, unremarkable town, Point Arena. The main attraction is the Point Arena lighthouse and the dramatic views from Pacific cliffs. Okay, so you're hungry and you don't want "fast food". (Even that is hard to find on this stretch of coastal Highway). We were so happy we found an upscale "foodie" restaurant, unfortunately closed because of COVID restrictions but still providing excellent take-out orders. Frankie, the kind woman that works there, the food, the ability to have a drink and then walk through a wall- to get to a amazing restaurant is beyond grand. I have eaten three or four times, going again this Friday. Food is constantly fantastic, I have taken my foodie friends from SF they even thought it was great too!! My hats off to the chief and to the very kind people that work at "The Bird Cafe" also the bread is made around the block, you be crazy not to try it.
