Our family had a frustrating experience here on a Sunday night due to a change in how service is provided. There was a QR code menu and with our party of four, only two of us were able to access it. There was no back up and by that I mean that not only did we not have access to paper/laminated menus, the serving staff would not approach us or talk to us until we ordered our meal with our personal phones via the QR code menu. Once we figured all of that out, the servers brought food and drink to the table but, again, they didn't really speak to us. They just dropped things off. If you're looking for a restaurant that's got it all - this place is it! We randomly chose The Boathouse at Rocketts Landing to dine on our way home from Richmond airport to Williamsburg. All four of us were thrilled with the beautiful, uninterrupted views of the river, the contemporary decor and, being late Sunday afternoon meant it wasn't crowded. We had a great experience from the moment we were greeted by the friendly and professional host, to the view, the wine and the delicious meals. Our FABULOUS server, Richard, was not only professional in helping us navigate the online ordering system which, by the way, is excellent; he was also engaging and fun (without being over-the-top), making sure we enjoyed our time at The Boathouse. Another neat thing was, by the time we left, the dinner crowd had arrived and it was awesome to see such a diversity of clients. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who not only loves great food but also a great dining experience. Cheers...
