Despite its enviable location on an Asbury Park thoroughfare, The Bonney Read is no tourist trap. My guest and I enjoyed (slightly) above average eats in an airy, well lit environment. We began with a Hello Sunshine and a Tiki Rum Punch. The latter, made from grapefruit, pineapple, and orange juices, was really strong; for me it lacked balance and sweetness. I still drank it. My guest did not comment on the Hello Sunshine, which he would have if it were noteworthy. Things picked up in the entrees. I picked the Fisherman's Fry - salty, thin, and crispy...
