Great crawfish..nice patio.

Crawfish were overcooked by several minutes. Had to peel every tail entirely to get the meat out. Seasoning was on point but the shell was stuck to the meat so was disappointed for the first time at this place. Prob give them another shot since this is one of my favorite crawfish joints in Hou.

I was a bit apprehensive at first due to my experience with the previous owner (the shady tavern) but this establishment now renamed "the boot" is owned by new owners and it is a whole new animal. Today I tried an appetizer called "gator bites"; being that I have never tried Cajun food in my life. I was quite good actually, just like chicken but better. This place has ample parking space at the front and the patio is quite large n away from any road traffic. The staff is awesome! Had the pleasure of speaking with Emily and Cary; they are both very polite, professional, laidback and yet friendly to new faces. Made me feel right at home. The customers are even better; spoke with a fella with an original 1976 blue Jeep who never shown an ounce of hostility towards me for being a stranger (unlike the previous owners). I have to return to this place and try other original "Cajun" food! Just not crawfish, least till I can get the hang of how to peel those little bastards properly without turning them into a Picasso. I luv this place!
